BILAT-UKR Final Conference

At the final conference of the project, which ended in February 2012, the main results and achievements of BILAT-UKR, examples of tools for enhanced EU-Ukraine cooperation, and other key issues were presented.

"ENHANCING THE BILATERAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY PARTNERSHIP IN UKRAINE"

The Final Conference of the project took place on January 31st and February 1st, 2012 in Kiev.

Programme 

The first day of the conference started with the welcome addresses and an overview over BILAT-UKR:

M. Bonin: BILAT-UKR Overview 

This was followed by a presentation of the network of Ukrainian FP7 National Contact Points and , in parallel, a Policy Roundtable in the State Agency on Science, Innovation and Informatization of Ukraine.

In the afternoon of the first day, four parallel sessions took place:

  1. European Neighbourhood Policy Initiative and Regional Cooperation 
    V. Rybak: Introduction to EU Co-operation with Ukraine 
    K. Shakhbasian: Enhance Innovation Strategies, Policies and Regulation in Ukraine (InnoPolicy) 
    M. Guth, C. Mühlenfeld: The Dutch-German cross-border cooperation 
    I. Bolshakova: Good practical experience and obstacles for cross-border cooperation on the example of Ukraine-EU cooperation in the area of creating new energy sources - fusion power engineering  
  2. European Technology Platforms and Innovation 
    K. Trojanowski: European and National Technology Platforms - Good practices for effective participation in EU projects 
    Т. К. Кваша: Технологічні платформи: Досвід ЄС, Росії та пропозиції щодо підходів до створення технологічних платформ в Україні 
    С. Добровольський: Технологічна платформа - Аерокосмічні технології

    M. Gorokhovatska: European infrastructures programmes in FP7 and BILAT-UKRT deliverables

  4. National Contact Point Services: Meetings of EU and Ukrainian NCPs

The closing plenary session on the first day presented the conclusions of the four parallel sessions and concluding remarks.

On the second day, a National Contact Points Round Table took place.

In parallel, the project consortium held an internal BILAT-UKR Executive Board Meeting.

As part of the conference material, the brochure "ПОСИЛЕННЯ ДВОСТОРОНЬОГО НАУКОВО-ТЕХНІЧНОГО СПІВРОБІТНИЦТВА В УКРАЇНІ" ("ENHANCING THE BILATERAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY PARTNERSHIP IN UKRAINE") in Ukrainian language was distributed.
